Technical difficulties with research accounts

Due to some technical problems our Research Accounts are currently not sending out emails or allowing job requests to be entered correctly. Please use the Contact form to send us emails for the moment.

Welcome to Historica.co.uk. We are specialist researchers dealing in the antique documents at the British National Archives (Formerly the Public Record Office and Family History Centre) and the American National Archives, especially military and genealogical history.

This site has been designed to be very simple to use, if you are not a member yet, you can join by clicking here. Once your account has been activated, you will be able to view your research account which gives you access to all the work you have requested (past and present) as well as tools to request new work.

How to use Historica.co.uk

At Historica, we have tried to make the process of getting research completed as simple as possble. Once you have signed into your account, you create a project including any available information, and outlining what you want Historica to find out for you. The name and description of a project should be chosen so that it describes, to you and your researcher, what your goals are.

If you find out more information, or want to add to the list of work you want your Historica researcher to do, you can return to the project, and add to the end of it - Disk space is cheap! The more extensive the background information we have access to, the greater the likelyhood of success!

Each of our researchers sets their own pricing plan, which will be agreed with you in advance, before any work is started - You will never be left with an unexpected bill! To give you an idea, This is a selection of the services our researchers offer: Research at libraries and records offices within their chosen area, digital photographs of buildings, locations, tombstones etc, prints from digital photos, copies (colour or black and white) of historical records etc... See the researchers pages for information. For more details, or for a quote, contact us, we are always glad to help.

Once your researcher has completed a piece of work, he or she will create an invoice for the work completed, and mark the invoice as ready for payment. At this point you will receive an email requesting payment including a link to the invoice in your account. Simply click the PayPal "Pay Now" button on the invoice to pay for the work. The invoice will automatically be marked as paid and the researcher will send you your work.
